MURAL LOCATION

“My paintings do not contain a narrative but explore the relationship between abstraction and realism. First and foremost I invite your imaginations to run free with my work. The abstract elements such as composition, scale and graphic forms hope to give a visual sensory impression of feelings, thoughts or experiences. The realist forms such as reflections, shadows and colours, attempt to capture physical moments in time. I’m endlessly intrigued by abstract-realism and how components at opposite ends of a scale can be harmoniously connected, both in art and life. This piece was created with Kalgoorlie’s Gold mining heritage in mind. The flowing metallic bands meander across the building, representative of the fluctuating energy, movement, and inter-connectedness that gold mining has brought to this community. This is what I see, what does it mean to you?”
