"Inspired by our local African community the painting is a tribute to all people calling Kalgoorlie, which may be considered transient in nature, home.

The Lion represents love, kindness and community and the Elephant (aka Boris) represents guidance as they walk through life in a different place.

Acacia trees line the horizon under an african sunset, the african violets are a personal addition to honour my Mother in law, the Flamboyant flower is the national flower of Zimbabwe, the birth place of my Husband and the butterfly is a symbol of change and rebirth but it also has personal significance and is painted in loving memory of my Mum.”
