“As a place of movement and energy, I wanted to bring the same energy to the look of Kingsbury Skate Park. Dynamic design elements and the use of vibrant colours provide a sense of momentum and activity. Combining literal illustrations with abstract composition provides a juxtaposition that engages the viewer, constantly discovering new elements within the piece. Involving the local youth in the creation of this project provides them with a sense of pride and ownership over the location. Thus ensuring its longevity.”
