MURAL LOCATION

93 Egan St, Kalgoorlie
"The Mulla Mulla flower is one of the most common and recognisable flowers from the Kalgoorlie region. Ptilotus is from the Greek, ptilon, meaning down or feathers, a reference to the appearance of the flowers. Exaltatus meaning tall, referring to the flower spikes. They are usually herbaceous perennials with flowers in dense, brightly-coloured conicalheads. There are about 100 species in the genus Ptilotus, all but one occurring only in Australia.”
