“In my work I try to find a balance between abstract shapes and a realistic way of painting my subjects. I want to paint a simple composition of shapes and colours that still feels like you are looking at a photo-realistic image. Here I portrayed an Emu dad with its chicks walking around in the desert and spinifex country around Kalgoorlie."
